The department is responsible for maintaining the computers, servers, and applications required by the staff working in the administrative area of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. This includes supporting the vice-rectorates, research, structural funds, international relations, financial, image and communication, human resources, library accounting, and legal departments, among others. Our primary tasks involve ensuring that the servers in the data center are up-to-date and running smoothly, that virtual machines are regularly updated and backed up, and that the computers in our administration have the latest security patches installed. We also provide level 1 support to our users by diagnosing hardware and software issues, assisting them with connecting to office printers and on-site file servers, suggesting hardware and resolving any other technical issues they may encounter.
