Explore HUB UTCN with a New 3D Virtual Tour. The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca has expanded its digital campus experience with a new 3D virtual tour of the HUB UTCN building. This immersive tool enhances navigation and engagement within the university. This ongoing project is lead by Aurelia Ciupe. This digital service has already been integrated into university timetables to help students identify buildings, showcase UTCN's infrastructure to prospective students, and support in-person meetings with UTCN partners

UTCN Open Repository. This platform enables faculty members, researchers, and students to publish pre-print articles, facilitating the rapid dissemination of scientific results. The platform has been registered and indexed by OpenDOAR and submitted for indexing in the OpenAIRE database. This initiative is the result of the efforts of Serban Meza. The Repository enhances TUCN’s visibility and impact within the academic community by promoting the dissemination of scientific results, reflecting our university's commitment to open access science and the advancement of research at both national and international levels.

CeSTI. The CeSTI Center is a key space at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, designed to meet the needs of the younger generation, with the purpose of providing study resources, remedial activities, counseling, and tutoring services, catering to both individual requests and student groups.

Free Access to Premium Scientific Resources

Researchers, faculty, and students from TUCN now have free access to world-class platforms offered by Elsevier, Enformation, Coherent Digital & ANELIS Plus Consortium.

Access Anelis Plus (short for Acces Național Electronic la Literatura Științifică) is a national Romanian program designed to provide electronic access to international scientific literature for universities and research institutions across the country. The program is publicly funded and coordinated by UEFISCDI (The Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation). TUCN is a beneficiary of the ANELIS Plus program, along with most public universities in Romania, and through ANELIS Plus, faculty, researchers, and students at UTCN can access top international scientific databases for free (e.g., Springer, ScienceDirect, IEEE, Web of Science, etc.), either from the university’s network or remotely via VPN/authentication.

Policy Commons: Enformation and Coherent Digital provide one full year of free access to Policy Commons, the world’s largest platform for public policy literature. Policy Commons aggregates over 17 million documents from more than 41,000 global organizations, including think tanks, government agencies, NGOs, and research institutes. The platform serves as a unique archive of “grey literature” which includes content often not indexed elsewhere, covering fields such as economics, health, environment, education, and law, making it an essential resource for evidence-based research and policy analysis.
Access period: February 2025 – January 31, 2026

Access method: via institutional IP, remote access (#fromhome)

Eligible institutions: All members of the ANELIS Plus consortium, including TUCN.

SciVal Core: Elsevier and Enformation, in partnership with ANELIS Plus, are providing 30 days of complimentary access to SciVal Core, an advanced platform designed to support strategic research management. Powered by Scopus data, SciVal provides institutions, departments, and individual researchers with detailed, data-driven insights into research performance and visibility. It allows users to evaluate productivity, track trends, and identify potential collaboration networks, while also informing institutional strategies for funding, development, and global rankings. This access offers a valuable opportunity to explore the full capabilities of one of the most sophisticated research analytics tools available today.
Access period: April 7 – May 6, 2025
Access method: via institutional IP & remote access (#fromhome)
Eligible institutions: All members of the ANELIS Plus consortium, including TUCN.

Reaxys Predictive Retrosynthesis Powered by Pending AI (Elsevier): For 30 days, Enformation and Elsevier are offering free access to Reaxys Predictive Retrosynthesis, a cutting-edge module that integrates high-quality reaction data with advanced artificial intelligence developed by Pending AI. This innovative tool streamlines the process of chemical synthesis by automatically generating efficient synthetic routes for both known and novel molecules. It helps researchers save time and resources by suggesting multiple pathways, ranked by factors such as feasibility, cost, and reagent availability, while also ensuring reproducibility through reference to peer-reviewed conditions. Reaxys Predictive Retrosynthesis is a powerful ally for researchers in organic, medicinal, and computational chemistry, offering smart solutions in the early stages of research and development.
Access period: April 7 – May 6, 2025
