Turnitin uses AI to help students, educators, and institutions advance integrity and learning outcomes. AI algorithm are used at: (i) answer grouping, by allowing instructors to give feedback on groups of similar responses at once, (ii) handwriting recognition, (iii) authorhips verification, by using AI to compare writing styles, (iv) essay analysis by signalling areas of improving based on models like BERT or CNNs.
